Chevron tile laying guide

Chevron tiles have their short ends cut at an angle, so a left tile and a right tile meet point to point and form a V. Repeated down the room, the Vs run as one continuous arrow.

Tile size and shape

• Each tile is 450 mm long and 80 mm wide.
• Tiles come as LEFT and RIGHT. Order them in equal numbers.
• One left and one right tile laid together cover a width of 700 mm.

Laying steps

1. Start in the middle: mark a straight line down the middle of the room and lay the first V on it, so the pattern comes out even on both sides.

2. Pair left and right: lay LEFT and RIGHT tiles alternately, and check that their angled ends meet exactly at each point.

3. Joints: keep a grout joint of at least 2 mm between tiles.

4. Work outwards: continue in both directions, using spacers and a level line to keep the points in line.
