200x1400mm Wooden Floor and Wall Tiles

200x1400mm is roughly 8 x 56 inches, or 3.01 sq ft per tile. A box holds 4 tiles covering 12.05 sq ft at 24 kg. 20 designs, the longest board Metro makes, rated for indoor use only.

Longest board

The longest board, rated for indoor use only

The 200x1400mm plank is Metro's longest format, with 20 designs including Madera Teak and the Oaklore range. Each box holds 4 tiles covering 12.05 square feet at 24 KG. The extended plank length suits expansive open-plan spaces, where fewer, longer boards read as more authentic wood flooring than a shorter plank repeated across the same area.

As with the rest of the range, every 200x1400mm design is glazed ceramic with a curve-edge, non-rectified profile, 9 to 9.5 MM thickness, and 6-8% water absorption. Because it's the largest and heaviest format in the catalogue, confirm site access and subfloor preparation before ordering. Use the filters above to browse the full 200x1400mm range.

Where the 200x1400mm plank works

This is the longest board Metro makes. Fewer, longer planks across a wide floor read as more convincing timber than a shorter plank repeated over the same area, so this size is specified for expansive open plan interiors, showrooms and hospitality spaces. It is the wrong choice for small or heavily broken up rooms, where most boards would end up cut.

Indoor use only

Unlike the other three plank sizes, the 200x1400mm range is rated for indoor floor and wall use only. There is no IPE series in this format, so it should not be specified for balconies, terraces or covered outdoor areas. Use the 150x900mm or 200x1200mm IPE designs for those applications.

Site access and handling

Boxes hold 4 tiles at 24 kg covering 12.05 square feet. The individual tile is long enough that access matters, so confirm stair turns, lift dimensions and subfloor flatness before ordering. A long plank shows an uneven subfloor more readily than a short one.
