Hannah Maroon Base/Decor

Older terrace houses under renovation usually have cement screed waiting under the old flooring, and a red brown floor sits well against original grilles and timber doors. Merlot is that colour, deep and slightly wine toned, and it stays warm under yellow lighting. The satin texture surface is lightly grained, so it holds a little grip and cleans without scrubbing. Four random faces means the design repeats quickly. Mixing boxes before laying is not optional here. Planks measure 150 x 900 mm and each box carries 8, covering 1.08 m2 at 22 kg. Unlike a solid timber floor, this will not gap open when the air dries out after the rains.
