NRC-334

A dark brown floor photographs well in a listing and hides what tenants do to it, which is why service apartments keep coming back to this tone. Tuscan coffee sits near aged merbau, deep enough to hide scuffing at skirting level where trolley bags and shoes land. Five random faces are adequate for a one or two bedroom unit, though mixing boxes as you lay still pays off. The satin texture is lightly textured and cleans with a damp mop, but a dark floor will show dust between cleans, so pair it with a darker grout rather than pale grey. Boxes contain 8 planks of 150 x 900 mm, 1.08 m2 per box, 22 kg each.

• Will NRC-334 swell in a humid climate?

No. NRC-334 is glazed ceramic with 6 to 8 percent water absorption, so humid months do not make it swell, cup or warp the way timber and laminate can.

• How many boxes of NRC-334 for a 4 x 5 m living room?

A 4 x 5 m room is 20 m². With 10 percent extra for cutting, that is 21 boxes, since each box of 8 planks (15 x 90 cm) covers 1.08 m² and weighs about 22 kg.

• Which rooms in a condo or landed house suit NRC-334?

NRC-334 works on floors and walls in family halls, bedrooms, shoplots and offices. It is rated for interior use.

• How do I clean NRC-334?

Sweep, then mop with a mild floor cleaner. The glazed satin textured face needs no oiling, sanding or polish.
