Tokai Arauco

Around a pool, matt texture stops being a preference and becomes the only sensible surface. Tokai Arauco is rated for outdoor use and uses the deepest matt texture available, so a pool deck, an open patio or a covered porch stays walkable in bare wet feet. Its golden honey colour is the tone chengal starts at before years of weather silver it off, and the tile holds that colour instead of fading. The design runs 3 random faces, low enough that a deck of any size wants several boxes opened and shuffled first. A box holds 5 planks of 200 x 1200 mm, 1.20 m2 of deck, 25 kg.

• Does Tokai Arauco cope with Malaysian humidity?

Yes. Tokai Arauco is glazed ceramic with 6 to 8 percent water absorption, so humid months do not make it swell, cup or warp the way timber and laminate can.

• How many boxes of Tokai Arauco for a 5 x 6 m living and dining area?

A 5 x 6 m room is 30 m². With 10 percent extra for cutting, that is 28 boxes, since each box of 5 planks (20 x 120 cm) covers 1.20 m² and weighs about 25 kg.

• Can Tokai Arauco go on a balcony or porch?

Yes. Tokai Arauco is rated for outdoor use, so covered balconies, porches and walkways can have a wood deck look without the upkeep of real timber.

• What upkeep does Tokai Arauco need?

Sweep, then mop with a mild floor cleaner. The glazed satin textured face needs no oiling, sanding or polish.
