150x900mm is about 6 x 36 inches, which is 1.45 square feet per tile. A box of 8 covers 11.62 square feet.
PLANK FORMAT
Why Choose the 150x900mm Format
The 150x900mm plank is Metro's most versatile wood look tile size, available across 70 designs from Oaklore to NRC. Each box holds 8 tiles covering 11.62 square feet at 22 KG, a manageable weight for most installation crews. The elongated plank shape reads as authentic wood flooring in bedrooms, living rooms, and commercial interiors alike, while staying easy to cut and lay around fixtures, corners, and stairs.
Every tile in this size is glazed ceramic with a curve-edge, non-rectified construction, 9 to 9.5 MM thick, and 6-8% water absorption, suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, and other moisture-prone areas. Filter by color or surface finish above to compare the full 150x900mm range side by side before choosing a design.
Where the 150x900mm plank works
At 150mm wide this is the narrowest plank Metro makes, so a floor laid in it shows more lines across the room and reads closest to a traditional timber board. That works in bedrooms and living rooms of ordinary size, and it is the easiest plank in the range to cut around fixtures, corners and stair treads. On staircases it cuts cleanly to tread depth and the same tile is used for the riser face.
Three series in one size
This is the only format that carries all three Metro series. The Regular Series covers the standard wood grain designs, the IPE Series is rated for outdoor and covered deck use, and the Herritage Series carries the heavier grain and knot detail. No other plank size offers all three, which is part of why this format has 70 designs against 56, 61 and 20 for the others.
Face variation
Designs in this size ship with up to 9 random faces, so repeated tiles do not line up into a visible pattern across a large floor. The exact number of faces is listed on each product page.
