Ipe Out Grey

Timber decking on a verandah needs oiling most years and still greys off between coats. Ipe Out Grey starts at that silvered grey and stays there. It is rated for outdoor use on a verandah, in an alfresco area or across a covered entertaining space, and the deep matt texture holds grip when the floor is wet and kills glare in hard afternoon light. Three random faces is the whole set, so open several boxes and mix the planks before laying. The material is glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm. Planks are 150 x 900 mm, 8 per box, 1.08 m2, 22 kg.

  Each carton holds 8 planks of 15 x 90 cm and covers 1.08 m², at about 22 kg. Ipe Out Grey is a timber look tile with a matte textured face.

  Ipe Out Grey is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
