Floors laid over a concrete slab with hydronic or in slab heating do well with a tile like this, because ceramic passes heat through where timber boards insulate against it. The grey is a mid weathered tone, closer to aged hardwood than to stone. Its satin plain face is smooth, wipes clean fast and needs no sealing, and the trade off is visible dust and no extra grip in wet spots. Five random faces will carry a bedroom or study on its own. • Can NRC-108 go in an alfresco area?

  No, NRC-108 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does NRC-108 suit hydronic underfloor heating?

  Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
