Six random faces spread the pattern across a living and dining run. The satin texture is lightly textured, so it does not go slippery underfoot in socks. Planks are 150 x 900 mm, glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 8 in a box for 1.08 m2 and 22 kg. Indoor rated, with water absorption of 6 to 8 percent. Grout colour matters more here than people expect.

  Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.08 m² a carton that is 21 cartons.

• Can NRC-309 go in an alfresco area?

  No, NRC-309 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does NRC-309 suit hydronic underfloor heating?

  Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
