NRC-407

Silvered hardwood, the colour a deck goes after a few seasons without oil, is what this grey copies. Ten random faces make it suit a warehouse conversion or any long floor where a repeat would be obvious from the doorway. Grey reads cooler than the brown tones, so it sits well with black tapware and white walls. The satin texture keeps a light grain in the surface. Glazed ceramic, 9 to 9.5 mm, 150 x 900 mm planks, 8 per box, 1.08 m2 covered, 22 kg. Indoor rated. It shows less dust than a dark brown and less lint than a white.

• What does a carton of NRC-407 cover?

Each carton holds 8 planks of 15 x 90 cm and covers 1.08 m², at about 22 kg. NRC-407 is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of NRC-407 for a 16 m² rumpus room?

Add 10 percent to 16 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 17.6 m². At 1.08 m² a carton that is 17 cartons.

• Can NRC-407 go in an alfresco area?

No, NRC-407 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• What grout joint should NRC-407 be laid with?

NRC-407 is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
