One printed face means every plank in the box is identical, so the repeat is there and no amount of carton mixing changes it. Use it in smaller runs, a verandah, a balcony or a strip of alfresco paving, where the eye takes in the whole floor at once. It carries an outdoor rating, so a covered patio or a pool surround is fine. The light satin texture gives more grip than a smooth face, though a matt surface is deeper again if the area stays wet. Cinnamon holds its warmth outside. Boxes hold 8 planks, 150 x 900 mm, 1.08 m2, 22 kg.

  Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.08 m² a carton that is 21 cartons.

• Can NRC-501 go in an alfresco area?

  Yes. NRC-501 is rated for outdoor use, so a covered alfresco, verandah or balcony can have a timber deck look that never needs oiling or re-staining.

• Does NRC-501 suit hydronic underfloor heating?

  Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
