Celeste Taupe

Open plan living over a concrete slab is where this earns its keep. Warm chestnut is close to brushbox, brown with red under it, and it stops a big room feeling cold in the way a grey floor can. Tile sits happily over in slab or hydronic heating, which timber boards do not always tolerate. Nine random faces keep the repeat out of sight across a long span. The satin texture is lightly textured and easy to keep clean. Five planks per box at 200 x 1000 mm, 1.00 m2 and 20 kg. Glazed ceramic, 9 to 9.5 mm, absorption 6 to 8 percent, indoor rated.

• How many square metres are in a carton of Celeste Taupe?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 100 cm and covers 1.00 m², at about 20 kg. Celeste Taupe is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of Celeste Taupe for a 20 m² living area?

Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.00 m² a carton that is 22 cartons.

• Can Celeste Taupe go in an alfresco area?

No, Celeste Taupe is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does Celeste Taupe suit hydronic underfloor heating?

Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
