Flagstaff 3

Thirteen random faces is the number that matters here. Lay Flagstaff 3 across an open plan living and dining area of thirty square metres and you will struggle to find the same plank twice, which is the main thing separating a convincing timber look floor from an obvious one. The colour is warm chestnut, close to brushbox, and the satin texture gives a light grain you can feel without it catching dust. Planks run 200 x 1000 mm and arrive five to a box, 1.00 m2 and 20 kg per carton. Order by the box rather than the square metre and keep one spare carton for later repairs.

• How is Flagstaff 3 packed?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 100 cm and covers 1.00 m², at about 20 kg. Flagstaff 3 is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of Flagstaff 3 for a 12 m² bedroom?

Add 10 percent to 12 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 13.2 m². At 1.00 m² a carton that is 14 cartons.

• Can Flagstaff 3 go in an alfresco area?

No, Flagstaff 3 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does Flagstaff 3 suit hydronic underfloor heating?

Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
