Oaklore Nero

An ensuite or a laundry is where this dark grey earns its keep. The rustic texture carries a deep grain relief, so it gives more grip underfoot, and it takes the glare out of a small room with one window. Be honest about the colour though. Dark floors show lint and dry footprints sooner than a mid tone, so it suits a room you mop often rather than a busy family hallway. Six random faces stop the pattern repeating across a bigger run. Boxes hold five planks at 200 x 1000 mm, 1.00 m2 and 20 kg, glazed ceramic 9 to 9.5 mm, indoor rated.

• How many square metres are in a carton of Oaklore Nero?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 100 cm and covers 1.00 m², at about 20 kg. Oaklore Nero is a timber look tile with a matte textured face.

• How many cartons of Oaklore Nero for a 28 m² open plan kitchen and dining area?

Add 10 percent to 28 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 30.8 m². At 1.00 m² a carton that is 31 cartons.

• Can Oaklore Nero go in an alfresco area?

No, Oaklore Nero is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• What grout joint should Oaklore Nero be laid with?

Oaklore Nero is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
