Cerezo

Cerezo is Spanish for cherry, and the tile holds a warm chestnut with the light grain of a satin texture. Chestnut is the middle of the brown range, light enough to keep a room open and dark enough to forgive dust between cleans, which is why it is the tone people choose when they are not sure. Four random faces is a low count for a plank this long, so open several boxes and shuffle them. Each plank is 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, and a box of 5 covers 1.20 m2 at 25 kg.

• How many square metres are in a carton of Cerezo?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 120 cm and covers 1.20 m², at about 25 kg. Cerezo is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of Cerezo for a 20 m² living area?

Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.20 m² a carton that is 19 cartons.

• Can Cerezo go in an alfresco area?

No, Cerezo is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does Cerezo suit hydronic underfloor heating?

Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
