D19-20901

The D19 series is the matt textured group at this size, and D19-20901 is its nutmeg. That deep texture is the reason to choose it over a smooth tile in the same colour: it grips underfoot, hides dust between cleans, and returns no glare from downlights or a north facing window. Six random faces carries an open plan floor without a repeat showing. Nutmeg sits close to spotted gum and takes almost any wall colour. Each plank is 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, and a box of 5 covers 1.20 m2 at 25 kg.

• How many square metres are in a carton of D19-20901?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 120 cm and covers 1.20 m², at about 25 kg. D19-20901 is a timber look tile with a matte textured face.

• How many cartons of D19-20901 for a 28 m² open plan kitchen and dining area?

Add 10 percent to 28 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 30.8 m². At 1.20 m² a carton that is 26 cartons.

• Can D19-20901 go in an alfresco area?

No, D19-20901 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• What grout joint should D19-20901 be laid with?

D19-20901 is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
