D26-27568

The grain on D26-27568 is deliberately restrained, which suits a room already carrying rugs, artwork and furniture, where a figured floor would add noise. The colour is warm chestnut on a deep matt face, so it hides dust and grips in a hallway or bathroom without reflecting downlights back off a long run. Four random faces is a low count for a plank this long, so open several boxes and shuffle the planks before laying. Chestnut takes oak, white and black. Planks are 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 5 to a box, covering 1.20 m2 at 25 kg.

• What grout joint should D26-27568 be laid with?
