East Teak

East Teak takes the nutmeg brown of Asian teak into a 1200 mm plank on a deeply textured matt face, and it is rated for outdoor use. Teak is a boat deck and outdoor furniture timber, and this brings that colour to a verandah or pool surround without the annual oiling real teak needs to hold it. The deep texture grips when the surface is wet. Six random faces keeps a wide alfresco area from repeating where it is seen whole from the kitchen. Planks are 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 5 per box, 1.20 m2, 25 kg.

• What does a carton of East Teak cover?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 120 cm and covers 1.20 m², at about 25 kg. East Teak is a timber look tile with a matte textured face.

• How many cartons of East Teak for a 20 m² living area?

Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.20 m² a carton that is 19 cartons.

• Can East Teak go in an alfresco area?

Yes. East Teak is rated for outdoor use, so a covered alfresco, verandah or balcony can have a timber deck look that never needs oiling or re-staining.

• Does East Teak suit hydronic underfloor heating?

Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
