Gunstock

Red brick is hard to floor around. Most greys turn cold against it and most pale timbers look washed out beside it, which is why a golden honey with red in it is the safer answer for a lounge with a brick fireplace or an internal brick wall left from the seventies. Gunstock carries that warmth. Its satin texture holds the grain in relief, close to sanded board underfoot, and wipes clean without the depth of a matt face. That also means less grip, so keep it to dry rooms. Five random faces asks for boxes to be mixed. Planks are 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 5 to a box, covering 1.20 m2 at 25 kg.

• How is Gunstock packed?

  Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 120 cm and covers 1.20 m², at about 25 kg. Gunstock is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of Gunstock for a 20 m² living area?

  Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.20 m² a carton that is 19 cartons.

• Can Gunstock go in an alfresco area?

  No, Gunstock is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does Gunstock suit hydronic underfloor heating?

  Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
