Notaio

A dark floor is a commitment, and Notaio is a dark one. The colour is tuscan coffee, a deep brown close to ironbark, and it will make a small room read smaller and a large room read calmer. Its satin texture is lightly textured, like sanded board, so it takes a mop cleanly and does not flash light back the way a polished surface would. Four random faces is low for a dark plank, and repeats are easier to spot on dark colours. Open four or five cartons and mix them. Planks are 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic, 9 to 9.5 mm thick, 5 per box, 1.20 m2, 25 kg.

• How is Notaio packed?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 120 cm and covers 1.20 m², at about 25 kg. Notaio is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of Notaio for a 20 m² living area?

Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.20 m² a carton that is 19 cartons.

• Can Notaio go in an alfresco area?

No, Notaio is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does Notaio suit hydronic underfloor heating?

Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
