Sienna

Cinnamon is a warmer red than most timber look tiles go, a mid brown with orange in it that reads well against white walls and brick. Sienna carries ten random faces, so a large open plan floor holds up without a repeat. The surface is satin plain, smooth, which means one pass with a mop and no texture to trap grime. It also shows dust faster than a matt floor and offers no grip advantage, so leave the wet areas to something textured. Planks measure 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm thick, packed 5 to a box for 1.20 m2 and 25 kg.

• How is Sienna packed?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 120 cm and covers 1.20 m², at about 25 kg. Sienna is a timber look tile with a smooth satin face.

• How many cartons of Sienna for a 20 m² living area?

Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.20 m² a carton that is 19 cartons.

• Can Sienna go in an alfresco area?

No, Sienna is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does Sienna suit hydronic underfloor heating?

Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
