NR-142009

Spotted gum decking sits in the same mid brown as this tile, which is the argument for laying it in a room that opens onto a deck. The two surfaces carry across when the doors are open. NR-142009 is rated indoor, so it stops at the threshold and the deck stays timber. Nutmeg holds that warmth under daylight and under lamps. The satin texture gives grain you can feel without the depth of a matt face. Twelve random faces is the top of the size, and that counts next to real boards, since timber never repeats and a low count would. Planks are 200 x 1400 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 4 to a box, 1.12 m2 and 24 kg.

• How many square metres are in a carton of NR-142009?

Each carton holds 4 planks of 20 x 140 cm and covers 1.12 m², at about 24 kg. NR-142009 is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of NR-142009 for a 20 m² living area?

Add 10 percent to 20 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 22.0 m². At 1.12 m² a carton that is 20 cartons.

• Can NR-142009 go in an alfresco area?

No, NR-142009 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• Does NR-142009 suit hydronic underfloor heating?

Yes. As a glazed ceramic plank it will not gap or cup as the slab warms, and unlike engineered timber it has no 27°C surface limit.
