Hannah Oscura Base/Decor

Dark grey gives a study or a home office a floor that does not compete with whatever is on the desk, and it sits closer to a smoked board than to bare concrete. The satin texture surface is lightly grained, which matters on a dark tile, because a smooth dark face shows every fleck of dust under a downlight. Four random faces is a low count, so mix planks from multiple boxes if the room runs beyond about twelve square metres. This one is rated indoor, so keep it off the car porch and the open balcony. Boxes hold 8 planks of 150 x 900 mm, 1.08 m2, 22 kg.

• Does Hannah Oscura Base/Decor cope with Malaysian humidity?

Yes. Hannah Oscura Base/Decor is glazed ceramic with 6 to 8 percent water absorption, so humid months do not make it swell, cup or warp the way timber and laminate can.

• How many boxes of Hannah Oscura Base/Decor for a 5 x 6 m living and dining area?

A 5 x 6 m room is 30 m². With 10 percent extra for cutting, that is 31 boxes, since each box of 8 planks (15 x 90 cm) covers 1.08 m² and weighs about 22 kg.

• Which rooms in a condo or landed house suit Hannah Oscura Base/Decor?

Hannah Oscura Base/Decor works on floors and walls in master bedrooms, living rooms, cafes and feature walls. It is rated for interior use.

• What upkeep does Hannah Oscura Base/Decor need?

Sweep, then mop with a mild floor cleaner. The glazed satin textured face needs no oiling, sanding or polish.
