Hannah Oscura Base/Decor

Charcoal floors have taken over new build ensuites and laundries, and Hannah Oscura Base/Decor gives that dark grey in a timber grain rather than a stone pattern. The satin texture is light, which matters in a wet area, because a smooth dark tile turns slippery and shows every watermark. Water absorption sits at 6 to 8 percent, so keep this one indoors. Four random faces is a short run, though on a bathroom sized floor that is rarely a problem. Planks are 150 x 900 mm, glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 8 pieces per box for 1.08 m2 at 22 kg.

• What does a carton of Hannah Oscura Base/Decor cover?

• Can Hannah Oscura Base/Decor go in an alfresco area?

No, Hannah Oscura Base/Decor is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• What grout joint should Hannah Oscura Base/Decor be laid with?

Hannah Oscura Base/Decor is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
