T8-8002

The air well and the covered walkway between the wet kitchen and the back yard get wet most days, and that is exactly where an outdoor rated floor pays for itself. T8-8002 is rated for outdoor use, with a satin texture that gives light tooth underfoot and takes a scrubbing brush without dulling. The pale natural clear stain brightens a narrow side passage that never sees direct sun. Five random faces is a mid count, so mix planks from two or three boxes as you lay. A box holds 5 pieces of 200 x 1000 mm, 1.00 m2 of coverage, 20 kg. Glazed ceramic, 9 to 9.5 mm thick.

• Does T8-8002 cope with Malaysian humidity?

Yes. T8-8002 is glazed ceramic with 6 to 8 percent water absorption, so humid months do not make it swell, cup or warp the way timber and laminate can.

• How many boxes of T8-8002 for a 5 x 6 m living and dining area?

A 5 x 6 m room is 30 m². With 10 percent extra for cutting, that is 33 boxes, since each box of 5 planks (20 x 100 cm) covers 1.00 m² and weighs about 20 kg.

• Can T8-8002 go on a balcony or porch?

Yes. T8-8002 is rated for outdoor use, so covered balconies, porches and walkways can have a wood deck look without the upkeep of real timber.

• What upkeep does T8-8002 need?

Sweep, then mop with a mild floor cleaner. The glazed satin textured face needs no oiling, sanding or polish.
