T8-8002

Anyone pricing a timber pool surround has already found what hardwood costs, and then there is the oiling every summer. This outdoor rated plank in a pale natural clear stain gives the same light board look and stays put. The satin texture is lightly textured, so wet feet have something to hold, though it is not the deep matt grip of the indoor range. Five random faces suit a surround or a path of ordinary length. Boxes carry five planks at 200 x 1000 mm, covering 1.00 m2 and weighing 20 kg. Glazed ceramic, 9 to 9.5 mm, with water absorption of 6 to 8 percent.

• What does a carton of T8-8002 cover?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 100 cm and covers 1.00 m², at about 20 kg. T8-8002 is a timber look tile with a satin textured face.

• How many cartons of T8-8002 for a 28 m² open plan kitchen and dining area?

Add 10 percent to 28 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 30.8 m². At 1.00 m² a carton that is 31 cartons.

• Can T8-8002 go in an alfresco area?

Yes. T8-8002 is rated for outdoor use, so a covered alfresco, verandah or balcony can have a timber deck look that never needs oiling or re-staining.

• What grout joint should T8-8002 be laid with?

T8-8002 is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
