Oaklore Grigro

A study that looks straight at a neighbouring wall gets very little light, and a pale floor is the cheapest fix available. Oaklore Grigro carries a natural clear stain, the colour of raw board before anyone puts a tint on it. Rustic texture keeps reflection off the surface, which matters if you sit at a screen all day with the ceiling lights on. Six random faces means the grain does not repeat across a small room, and it still holds together if you carry the same floor out into the corridor. A box holds 5 planks of 200 x 1200 mm, covering 1.20 m2 and weighing 25 kg. Planks are 9 to 9.5 mm thick.

• Does Oaklore Grigro cope with Malaysian humidity?

Yes. Oaklore Grigro is glazed ceramic with 6 to 8 percent water absorption, so humid months do not make it swell, cup or warp the way timber and laminate can.

• How many boxes of Oaklore Grigro for a 3 x 4 m bedroom?

A 3 x 4 m room is 12 m². With 10 percent extra for cutting, that is 11 boxes, since each box of 5 planks (20 x 120 cm) covers 1.20 m² and weighs about 25 kg.

• Which rooms in a condo or landed house suit Oaklore Grigro?

Oaklore Grigro works on floors and walls in living and dining areas, study rooms and corridors. It is rated for interior use.

• What upkeep does Oaklore Grigro need?

Sweep, then mop with a mild floor cleaner. The glazed satin textured face needs no oiling, sanding or polish.
