D9-1508

D9-1508 runs a reddish dark merlot, closer to smoked oak or mahogany than to a neutral brown. The satin surface breaks light softly, so the floor never looks polished. Nine random faces keeps a long hallway from showing a visible repeat, which is where dark floors usually give themselves away. Planks are 6 x 36 inches, glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 8 per carton for 11.62 sq ft and 22 kg. Dark wood look tile gives a room a base to sit on and reads best against pale walls with brass lighting. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, hotel corridors and restaurants where daily wear should not show.

• How is D9-1508 sold?

D9-1508 comes in 6 x 36 inch planks, 8 to a box. One box covers 11.62 sq ft and weighs about 49 lb.

• How many boxes of D9-1508 do I need for a 14 x 16 ft great room?

A 14 x 16 ft room is 224 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 246 sq ft, or 22 boxes at 11.62 sq ft each.

• Can D9-1508 go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• Is D9-1508 a good choice for a bathroom floor?

D9-1508 has a satin textured face, which suits dry rooms best. For a bathroom floor, pick a design with the Matt Texture finish, which gives more grip underfoot.
