NRC-114

NRC-114 is a warm chestnut on a smooth satin face with five random faces per design. Planks are 6 x 36 inches in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 8 per carton for 11.62 sq ft and 22 kg. Compared with NRC-102 the grain here is more even, which gives a quieter floor. That is usually what is wanted in an office, a medical suite or a retail space where the floor should not draw the eye. The smooth glaze mops without dirt catching in a texture. Chestnut wood look tile sits with white and cream walls, oak furniture and black frames, and it takes a herringbone or a straight set.

• How is NRC-114 sold?

NRC-114 comes in 6 x 36 inch planks, 8 to a box. One box covers 11.62 sq ft and weighs about 49 lb.

• How many boxes of NRC-114 do I need for a 14 x 16 ft great room?

A 14 x 16 ft room is 224 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 246 sq ft, or 22 boxes at 11.62 sq ft each.

• Can NRC-114 go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• Is NRC-114 a good choice for a bathroom floor?

NRC-114 has a smooth satin face, which suits dry rooms best. For a bathroom floor, pick a design with the Matt Texture finish, which gives more grip underfoot.
