NRC-406

NRC-406 is a nutmeg brown on a satin face with grain you can feel, and with ten random faces it is among the most varied tiles in this format. On a store floor, a hotel corridor or an open living area, nothing repeats where the eye can catch it. Planks are 6 x 36 inches in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, a carton of 8 covering 11.62 sq ft at 22 kg. Mid brown is easy to live with and takes any furniture, from oak to white to black. A high face count pays off most in a herringbone, where every board is read on its own rather than lost in a run.

• How is NRC-406 sold?

NRC-406 comes in 6 x 36 inch planks, 8 to a box. One box covers 11.62 sq ft and weighs about 49 lb.

• How many boxes of NRC-406 do I need for a 10 x 12 ft bedroom?

A 10 x 12 ft room is 120 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 132 sq ft, or 12 boxes at 11.62 sq ft each.

• Can NRC-406 go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• What grout joint does NRC-406 need?

NRC-406 is a curve-edge plank, not rectified, so plan on a joint of 3 to 5 mm, about 1/8 to 3/16 inch. The wider joint gives each board its own line, the way real planks sit.
