NRC-408

NRC-408 is a nutmeg brown on a satin face with grain in relief and four random faces per design. Planks are 6 x 36 inches in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 8 to a carton for 11.62 sq ft and 22 kg. Four faces is enough for a bedroom, a study or a hallway; on a bigger floor, blend cartons so the grain distributes. The mid brown does not show dust and works with oak furniture, white walls and black frames. A textured wood look tile feels warmer barefoot than a smooth glaze, which is a fair argument for using it in a bedroom.

• What comes in a box of NRC-408?

NRC-408 comes in 6 x 36 inch planks, 8 to a box. One box covers 11.62 sq ft and weighs about 49 lb.

• How many boxes of NRC-408 do I need for a 12 x 15 ft family room?

A 12 x 15 ft room is 180 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 198 sq ft, or 18 boxes at 11.62 sq ft each.

• Can NRC-408 go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• What grout joint does NRC-408 need?

NRC-408 is a curve-edge plank, not rectified, so plan on a joint of 3 to 5 mm, about 1/8 to 3/16 inch. The wider joint gives each board its own line, the way real planks sit.
