Sequoia Nut Base/Decor

Sequoia Nut is a warm coffee without the red cast that Sequoia Maroon carries, on a satin face with grain in relief. Base and decor ship from one series so a floor and a wall meet without a shift in tone. Five random faces per design, 6 x 36 inch planks in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, a carton of 8 covering 11.62 sq ft at 22 kg. A brown wood look tile at this depth suits living rooms with plenty of daylight, hallways and restaurant floors where shoe marks should not show. Against white walls, linen and plants it reads warm and natural; against black and glass, more urban.

• What comes in a box of Sequoia Nut Base/Decor?

Sequoia Nut Base/Decor comes in 6 x 36 inch planks, 8 to a box. One box covers 11.62 sq ft and weighs about 49 lb.

• How many boxes of Sequoia Nut Base/Decor do I need for a 10 x 12 ft bedroom?

A 10 x 12 ft room is 120 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 132 sq ft, or 12 boxes at 11.62 sq ft each.

• Can Sequoia Nut Base/Decor go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• What grout joint does Sequoia Nut Base/Decor need?

Sequoia Nut Base/Decor is a curve-edge plank, not rectified, so plan on a joint of 3 to 5 mm, about 1/8 to 3/16 inch. The wider joint gives each board its own line, the way real planks sit.
