DM Fresco Pine

Pine is the board floor in a lot of older houses, and DM Fresco Pine puts that grain into a nutmeg brown on a smooth satin face. Five random faces per design, 8 x 40 inch planks in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 5 to a carton for 10.76 sq ft and 20 kg. The difference from real pine is that this will not dent under a chair leg or yellow with age, and it goes into a bathroom or a mudroom where pine has no business. The smooth glaze mops in one pass. The tone suits painted furniture, linen and farmhouse kitchens, and it sets straight or in a herringbone.

• How is DM Fresco Pine sold?

DM Fresco Pine comes in 8 x 40 inch planks, 5 to a box. One box covers 10.76 sq ft and weighs about 44 lb.

• How many boxes of DM Fresco Pine do I need for a 10 x 12 ft bedroom?

A 10 x 12 ft room is 120 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 132 sq ft, or 13 boxes at 10.76 sq ft each.

• Can DM Fresco Pine go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• What grout joint does DM Fresco Pine need?

DM Fresco Pine is a curve-edge plank, not rectified, so plan on a joint of 3 to 5 mm, about 1/8 to 3/16 inch. The wider joint gives each board its own line, the way real planks sit.
