D26-27553

A light colour on a deeply textured face is a useful pairing, and D26-27553 is the golden honey that carries it. The floor stays bright but does not mirror a row of downlights, and it grips well enough for a kitchen or a bathroom, which a smooth honey tile would not. The tone sits close to blackbutt and hides crumbs better than a white. Five random faces suits a kitchen and adjoining meals area. Planks are 200 x 1200 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 5 to a box, covering 1.20 m2 at 25 kg.

• How is D26-27553 packed?

Each carton holds 5 planks of 20 x 120 cm and covers 1.20 m², at about 25 kg. D26-27553 is a timber look tile with a matte textured face.

• How many cartons of D26-27553 for a 28 m² open plan kitchen and dining area?

Add 10 percent to 28 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 30.8 m². At 1.20 m² a carton that is 26 cartons.

• Can D26-27553 go in an alfresco area?

No, D26-27553 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• What grout joint should D26-27553 be laid with?

D26-27553 is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
