D26-27553

D26-27553 is the lightest tile in the D26 line, a honey gold with a matte textured face and five random faces per design. Planks are 8 x 48 inches in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, a carton of 5 covering 12.91 sq ft at 25 kg. A light tone on a matte surface is the useful pairing: the floor stays warm and bright but does not mirror a row of downlights, and it grips well enough for a kitchen or bathroom. Honey hides crumbs better than white and sits with white cabinet fronts, green and terracotta. Long pale planks stretch a hallway and open up a small apartment.

• How many boxes of D26-27553 do I need for a 14 x 16 ft great room?

A 14 x 16 ft room is 224 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 246 sq ft, or 20 boxes at 12.91 sq ft each.

• Can D26-27553 go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• Is D26-27553 a good choice for a bathroom floor?

Yes. Its smooth satin face is the easiest of Metro's finishes to wipe down, the one to pick for bedrooms, living rooms and dry hallways.
