NR-142002

Merlot is a red brown close to nyatoh, the timber used in a lot of Malaysian bedroom furniture, so NR-142002 sits well in a master bedroom that already has wood pieces in it. The surface is satin plain and smooth, which cleans quickly but has no texture to hold grip, and it is happiest in dry, air conditioned rooms. Six random faces is a middling count. Mix planks from all boxes as you lay, otherwise the pattern repeats within a large room. Each 200 x 1400 mm plank comes 4 to a box, giving 1.12 m2 of coverage at 24 kg.

• Does NR-142002 cope with Malaysian humidity?

Yes. NR-142002 is glazed ceramic with 6 to 8 percent water absorption, so humid months do not make it swell, cup or warp the way timber and laminate can.

• How many boxes of NR-142002 for a 3 x 4 m bedroom?

A 3 x 4 m room is 12 m². With 10 percent extra for cutting, that is 12 boxes, since each box of 4 planks (20 x 140 cm) covers 1.12 m² and weighs about 24 kg.

• Which rooms in a condo or landed house suit NR-142002?

NR-142002 works on floors and walls in living and dining areas, study rooms and corridors. It is rated for interior use.

• What upkeep does NR-142002 need?

Sweep, then mop with a mild floor cleaner. The glazed satin textured face needs no oiling, sanding or polish.
