NR-142002

Red brown on a 1400 mm plank reads like a wide jarrah board rather than a strip floor, which is what makes NR-142002 suit a dining room, a study or a hotel room with dark furniture and cream walls. The satin plain surface is smooth, mops in one pass and takes no marks from chair legs, which is the practical reason to use it where people eat. Six random faces is enough for a room, less so for a whole house. Planks are 200 x 1400 mm in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, 4 per box, 1.12 m2 and 24 kg.

• What does a carton of NR-142002 cover?

Each carton holds 4 planks of 20 x 140 cm and covers 1.12 m², at about 24 kg. NR-142002 is a timber look tile with a smooth satin face.

• How many cartons of NR-142002 for a 16 m² rumpus room?

Add 10 percent to 16 m² for cuts and breakage, which gives 17.6 m². At 1.12 m² a carton that is 16 cartons.

• Can NR-142002 go in an alfresco area?

No, NR-142002 is rated for interior use. For a covered alfresco or verandah, choose one of Metro's designs rated for outdoor use.

• What grout joint should NR-142002 be laid with?

NR-142002 is a curve-edge plank rather than a rectified one, so lay it with a 3 to 5 mm joint. That spacing takes up the small natural variation along the plank and reads like the gap between real boards.
