A charcoal floor is the fastest way to make white baseboard and door casing look crisp. Oaklore Nero does that in a front hall or a dining room, with a weathered oak grain in charcoal gray and Rustic Texture relief you can feel in socks. Now the honest part: dark tile shows dust, pet hair and dried water spots sooner than a mid tone. If you have a golden retriever, look at Oaklore Grigio instead. If you will run a dust mop twice a week, the contrast is worth it. Use a charcoal grout and the herringbone stays subtle. Use a lighter gray and every plank stands out.

  Oaklore Nero comes in 4 x 20 inch (100x500mm) planks, 20 to a box. One box covers 10.76 sq ft and weighs 19.6 kg, about 43 lb.

• Can Oaklore Nero go in a mudroom or entryway?

  Yes. The charcoal grey color works on a small floor, and the Rustic Texture surface on Oaklore Nero gives wet boots some grip.

• What grout joint does Oaklore Nero need?

  Oaklore Nero is a curve edge plank, not rectified, so plan on a joint of at least 3 mm, usually 3 to 5 mm, about 1/8 to 3/16 inch.

• Can I lay Oaklore Nero straight instead of herringbone?

  Yes, use a quarter offset of 125 mm, about 5 inches. We do not recommend a half offset for Oaklore Nero, and the coverage calculator on this page works for either lay.
