D9-1509

D9-1509 is a dark roasted coffee brown with a satin surface and grain you can feel. With nine random faces, the 6 x 36 inch plank holds up across a retail floor or a hotel lobby without settling into a pattern. The tile is glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm; a carton of 8 covers 11.62 sq ft and weighs 22 kg. Browns this deep want daylight and light walls, where the contrast does the work rather than the floor swallowing the room. Run up a bedroom wall behind the headboard, D9-1509 gives the room a quiet focal point without paint or paper.

• How is D9-1509 sold?

D9-1509 comes in 6 x 36 inch planks, 8 to a box. One box covers 11.62 sq ft and weighs about 49 lb.

• How many boxes of D9-1509 do I need for a 12 x 15 ft family room?

A 12 x 15 ft room is 180 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 198 sq ft, or 18 boxes at 11.62 sq ft each.

• Can D9-1509 go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• What grout joint does D9-1509 need?

D9-1509 is a curve-edge plank, not rectified, so plan on a joint of 3 to 5 mm, about 1/8 to 3/16 inch. The wider joint gives each board its own line, the way real planks sit.
