Mocha Brown

Mocha Brown is a nutmeg brown printed on a smooth satin surface with a low sheen, and nine random faces per design. Planks are 8 x 48 inches in glazed ceramic at 9 to 9.5 mm, a carton of 5 covering 12.91 sq ft at 25 kg. Nine faces is a high count for this size, so a hotel corridor or a restaurant floor can run a long way before a plank repeats within sight of itself. Satin plain is the smooth face in the range: a low sheen with no relief, smooth enough to mop in one pass. Nutmeg goes with cream, black, brass and leather.

• How many square feet does a box of Mocha Brown cover?

Mocha Brown comes in 8 x 48 inch planks, 5 to a box. One box covers 12.91 sq ft and weighs about 55 lb.

• How many boxes of Mocha Brown do I need for a 14 x 16 ft great room?

A 14 x 16 ft room is 224 sq ft. With 10 percent added for cuts and breakage that is 246 sq ft, or 20 boxes at 12.91 sq ft each.

• Can Mocha Brown go over radiant floor heating?

Yes. It is a glazed ceramic plank 9 to 9.5 mm thick, so it does not gap, cup or split as the floor warms, and it has no 80°F (27°C) surface limit the way engineered wood does.

• Is Mocha Brown a good choice for a bathroom floor?

Mocha Brown has a smooth satin face, which suits dry rooms best. For a bathroom floor, pick a design with the Matt Texture finish, which gives more grip underfoot.
